Payment Settings: Getting Paid

What This Page Does

Payment Settings is where you tell the platform how to pay you. Before you can receive any money from sales, you need to connect your payout method. This is a one-time setup — once it’s done, payouts happen automatically.


Connecting Stripe (Recommended)

  1. Go to Settings → Payment in your dashboard.
  2. Click Connect with Stripe.
  3. You’ll be redirected to Stripe to create or connect a Stripe account. If you already have one, log in and authorize.
  4. Stripe will verify your bank account information. This can take 1–2 business days for a new account.
  5. Once verified, payouts happen automatically on the platform’s payout schedule.

Payout Schedule

Payouts to your bank account happen based on the platform’s vendor agreement terms. Check the Vendor Agreement for the current schedule — typically weekly or bi-weekly after a brief initial hold period for new accounts.


What Customers See

Customers see Butter & Sage Market as the merchant at checkout — your payout happens behind the scenes. Customers don’t need to interact with Stripe themselves.


Troubleshooting

If your Stripe connection shows as “Disconnected,” go back to Payment Settings and click Reconnect Stripe. This is often caused by a Stripe verification step that wasn’t completed. Follow Stripe’s prompts to finish account verification.
