What Must Appear on Your Label

Every product sold under Georgia's cottage food law must include all of the following on its label:

  2. 2 Product name
  3. 3 Ingredients list
  4. 4 Net weight
  5. 5 Allergen statement
  6. 6 Cottage food statement

Required Cottage Food Statement

Georgia requires the following statement to appear verbatim on every label. Copy this exactly — no paraphrasing.

Required Statement
"This product was made in a home kitchen. This product may not meet the requirements of the Georgia Cottage Food Law."

Cottage food producers are explicitly exempt from FDA mandatory nutrition labeling. You may add one voluntarily, but Georgia does not require it. Save that time for baking.
