You can manage your availability and limit the number of orders that customers can place within specific time frames through the pickup & delivery options.
Set Your Preferences
Your starting point is in your Vendor Dashboard under Settings / Delivery Time.
- Select options - Select if you offer pickup, delivery, or both.
- Set your buffer - Set how many days notice you require for an order. This setting blocks the customer from placing an order that is delivered before your buffer. If you need 3 days notice the customer will only be able to select a date that is 3 days away from the time the order is placed.
- Time slot - this is a window of time that controls the order per slot. If you need to limit orders by number of days your time slot would be the entire time that your pickup window is available.
- Orders per slot - how many pickups can be scheduled within your specified timeframe. For example, if you want to offer pickup on Tuesday & Thursday and you offer a 3 hour window and only 5 orders per window you'll set 5 in the orders per slot.
- Availability - next step is to enable the days you offer pickup, and the timeframe pickup is open. Customers placing orders will only be able to select a pickup or delivery that is past your buffer day, on a day that you are available, and where the number of available orders have not already been scheduled.
Viewing Your Calendar
Once you've configured your settings you're now ready to view incoming orders in your Delivery Time calendar. You can filter to view pickups, delivery, or leave it available to view both.
Pro Tip: If you only offer delivery within a given radius we recommend adding that information to your store terms and on your product pages.
