Getting Started: Setting Up Your Butter & Sage Market Shop

Chapters

Welcome to Butter & Sage Market

You made it! This guide walks you through getting your shop ready to sell. Your dashboard home keeps score for you: a progress bar that climbs from Just Sprouted all the way to Blue Ribbon Shop, with a checklist of what is left.

Ask Bea — The first time you open your dashboard, Bea offers Help with Quick Onboarding. Missed it? Just ask her to check your shop. She tells you what is missing and points you at the right page for each step.

Stage 1: Open Your Shop

Everything about your shop page lives in one place: Store Settings → My Store. Change anything, watch the live preview on the right, then press Save All Changes.

  • Shop name and tagline — on the Details tab, under Store Name & Story.
  • Logo, banner and maker photo — on the Look tab, step 6 · Photos. Frame each one so it looks right on a phone too.
  • Your brand colour — Look tab, Color. Pick a swatch or type your own hex code.
  • A custom section — the Sections tab adds a big photo, a split hero or a product spotlight to your page.

Stage 2: Get Found by Neighbors

  • Your location — My Store → Details → Contact & Location. This places your pin on the vendor map.
  • Categories — My Store → Details → Categories & Discovery. Shoppers filter by these, so a shop with none set doesn’t show up in those results.
  • Your story — two to four sentences about what you make and why. “Small-batch sourdough from a farmhouse kitchen in Ohio” beats “I sell bread.”

Stage 3: Get Paid

Stage 4: Start Selling

Go to Products and add your first two products, each with a good photo. Starter shops can list up to 10 products; Maker and Bloom have no limit.

Then head to Grow My Business → First Sale. It is a 14-day plan, one small step a day, with ready-to-copy messages for friends, Facebook groups and Nextdoor.

Tip — Share your short shop link (it looks like yourshop.bsage.shop). You’ll find it on My Store → Shop Link, with a Copy button.

Stuck?
