Build-Your-Own Boxes: Mix and Match

What This Is

A build-your-own box is one product where the customer chooses what goes in it, right on your shop page. Customers love choosing, and you sell a full box instead of one item.

Setting One Up

1. Go to Products, add a product, and under What kind of product is this? choose Build-your-own box.
2. Set the price for a box and how many items go in it (2 to 60).
3. Under What can go in the box, add each choice: a name, a photo, and an extra charge if it costs more. You need at least two.
4. Leave mix and match on to let customers choose more than one flavor, and add a charge for mixing if it costs you extra.
5. Press Save Product.

What Customers See

They open the box right on your shop, choose one flavor for the whole box or mix and match, pick until it is full, and add it to their cart. They never leave your shop to do it.

Sold Out of One Flavor?

Untick Available next to it and shoppers see “Sold out today.” The rest of the box still sells.

Prep & Pack adds up how many of each flavor you need across every box, and each order shows exactly what is in its box.
