Pickup & Delivery: When and Where Customers Get Their Order

Chapters

What This Page Does

Store Settings → Pickup & Delivery is where you tell customers how they get their order: they pick it up, you drop it off, or both, and on which days and times. Checkout then only offers the days you are open.

The Right now box at the top says in plain words what customers are offered today, and what is missing if something isn’t showing.

Open Pickup & Delivery →

Getting Started

  1. Under How can customers get their order?, tap They pick it up, I drop it off, or both.
  2. Set your days and hours: press Edit on your pickup spot, and for delivery tick them under Which days and hours do you drop orders off?
  3. Choose How do customers book a time?: how long each window is (say one hour) and how many orders you can hand over in one. Put 0 for no limit.
  4. Set How much notice do you need? Sourdough takes three days? Put 3 days.
  5. Press Save.

Pickup Spots

Your shop address is your first pickup spot. Each spot has its own days and hours, an on/off switch, and can run for part of the year only (a market that runs April to October switches itself off and back on).

Untick Address in the confirmation email for your home, and the email names the spot without the street address.

One spot on every plan. Bloom adds as many as you like.

Local Delivery

  • How far will you drive? — in miles.
  • Delivery fee, plus an optional charge per mile.
  • Optional free delivery for anyone within a few miles, or on orders over an amount.
  • Which ZIP codes: anywhere in your distance, only the ones you list, or everywhere except some. A star covers a range, so 494* is every ZIP starting 494.

The page shows a live example (“4 miles away: $7.00”) so you can check the price before you save. Everything in your shop can be delivered; there is nothing to set on each product.

Where Else It Shows Up

  • The Delivery Time item near the top of your sidebar is your calendar of upcoming pickups and deliveries.
  • A weekly drop adds its own pickup day, and Subscription Boxes and Custom Orders use the days you set here.
  • Need to move one customer to another day? Open their order and press Change the date.
  • Posting orders is a separate page: Shipping.

Tip — Start with fewer orders per window than you think you can handle. It is easier to open more room than to call a customer and cancel.
