What Must Appear on Your Label

Every product sold under Arkansas's cottage food law must include all of the following on its label:

  1. 1 Producer name, address, and telephone number (or state-issued ID number from AR Dept of Agriculture)
  2. 2 Product name
  3. 3 Ingredients in descending order by weight
  4. 4 Net weight or net volume
  5. 5 Allergen statement
  6. 6 Cottage food statement

Required Cottage Food Statement

Arkansas requires the following statement to appear verbatim on every label. Copy this exactly — no paraphrasing.

Required Statement
"This product was produced in a private residence that is exempt from state licensing and inspection. This product may contain allergens."

Arkansas vendors may obtain a state-issued ID number from the Arkansas Department of Agriculture to display in place of their home address and phone number.

Nutrition Facts Panel

You do not need a Nutrition Facts panel.
Cottage food producers are explicitly exempt from FDA mandatory nutrition labeling. You may add one voluntarily, but Arkansas does not require it. Save that time for baking.
