Cottage food labeling requirements in Kentucky — everything that must appear on your label, required cottage food statements, allergen disclosures, font size rules, and privacy options for your home address.

What Must Appear on Your Label

  1. 1 Business name and address

  3. 3 Product name
  4. 4 Ingredients in descending order by weight
  5. 5 Net weight or net volume
  6. 6 Allergen statement

Additional Requirements

Permit Number Required on Label

Kentucky requires your permit or registration number to appear on the label.

Nutrition Facts Panel

You do not need a Nutrition Facts panel.
Cottage food producers are explicitly exempt from FDA mandatory nutrition labeling. You may add one voluntarily, but Kentucky does not require it. Save that time for baking.
